Hatu Peak (Narkanda ridge drive) is a moderate-rated off-road trail near Hatu Peak, above Narkanda, Shimla district, Himachal Pradesh over Narrow deodar-forest ridge road to a ~3,400 m summit, steep hairpins terrain. As a moderate route it's a step up that rewards low-range, decent ground clearance and some prior off-road time.
The trail is at its best in spring, summer, post-monsoon and autumn, and is usually impassable during winter.

The Hatu Peak summit road above Narkanda is a public forest road (no permit to drive it). It is a narrow single-lane ridge road, best driven ~April-June and September-November; snow can close or ice the top in winter, so confirm it is open before driving up. The approach runs through reserved deodar forest - stay on the road; no off-road driving in the reserve..
